Responsibilities

Role:
• Primary market maker & risk manager for Asian High Yield & Illiquid credit trading books
• Market maker for both Cash and CDS
• Manage aggregate High Yield & Illiquid risk & ensure risk positions appropriately sized and are within assigned limits

Conduct :
• Compliance with individual mandates and Code of Conduct
• Follow the PCM Principles & Guidelines Policy
• Sign off on ORUS
• Acts & behaves appropriately and complies fully with the general ethical standards expected by BNP and the regulatory authorities
• Complies with all applicable legal, regulatory, code of conduct and firms internal compliance requirements.
• Has completed all mandatory compliance training assigned and maintains, through is his observed actions, an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding in order to be fully competent to undertake the role

Franchise:
• Work closely with analysts & economists to develop a cohesive and targeted trading strategy for the sector
• Collaborate with Analysts to jointly identify & position for marketable trade ideas
• Work with Sales & Research to promote the franchise and ensure BNP code of best practices are adhered to
• Regular attendance of daily and weekly risk meetings
• Ensure an efficient backup system is implemented such that there is seamless coverage of trading responsibilities
• Actively develop the Asian Credit Trading franchise across the Global Markets

People Care:
• Mentoring
• Participate in recruitment process when applicable

Platform Development:
• Promote working relationships with all associated groups ﴾including Analysts, Sales, back and middle office, Risk
• Management, IRM, Legal and Compliance
• Coordinate with support groups to ensure complete "after the trade" processes ﴾settlements, operational and P&L reconciliation are completed accurately and efficiently
• Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework & its implementation in day to day activities
• Participate actively to the Asian Credit Trading platform development

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Possess Technical & Fundamental trading expertise (specializing in respective sector strategy) as a part of a balanced desk wide strategy
• Collaborate with sector specialists & economists to develop comprehensive trade ideas that encompass both fundamental & technical aspects of the sector
• Manage sector credit risk diligently and size positions appropriately to facilitate client/franchise flows and to reflect market liquidity
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative & an entrepreneurial spirit

Specific Qualifications (if required)
• Degree holder
• 3-5 years relevant working experience
