Financial Control - FIN COO Office

Hang Seng's Financial Control function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners. We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, COO Office and treasury and investment finance.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Assistant Finance Systems and Data Analytics Manager.

Principal responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, monitor and control processes during EUC migration and data analytics project implementations
  • Identify the needs from FIN departments on data analytics and providing solutions for data processing and visualizing.
  • Identify improvement opportunities to improve the efficiency and productivity of business operations.
  • Monitor and ensure smooth running of FIN O/A and application servers (e.g. server disk space usage, performance tuning)
  • Work with ITID on server ever-green migration projects, security review, software & patch installation.
  • Assist annual contingency drill activities with FIN departments on FIN application servers.
  • Handle FIN user inquiries and provide assistance and troubleshooting on technical issues
Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Sound knowledge in Windows and Linux server administration and office automation tools, e.g. MS Office, Cisco Jabber, MS Teams
  • 2 years or above of experience in server administration or user support
  • Experience in using data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, Qliksense would be an advantage
  • Experience in Python application development would be an advantage
  • Strong in database design and using SQL language for data manipulation
  • Strong attentiveness to detail, with ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Self-motivated and pro-actively contribute to escalating concerns & resolving issues
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
