The Australian Office of Financial Management (AOFM) is the sovereign debt manager for Australia. We are a small, specialised agency that manages a portfolio of more than $900 billion in Australian Government Securities and two investment funds totalling $17 billion. AOFM ensures that the government's payment obligations are met and that budget financing needs are delivered cost effectively without undue risk. The AOFM operates within global financial markets to effectively achieve AOFM's financing and portfolio management responsibilities.
AOFM is looking to engage an experienced corporate leader to take responsibility for the AOFM's strategic and annual planning and performance reporting requirements. They will develop content for the Annual Report and other performance and business reporting by measuring organisational performance against key performance indicators and benchmarks. The position also has management responsibilities for the Corporate unit (this includes accounts payable, payroll, and procurement) and oversees the provision of executive support to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Group.
The Manager - Business Support will develop policies, systems, and processes to support good organisational governance, and meet legislative requirements. This role will require critical appraisal of how governance arrangements fit with the AOFM business in the context of developments in better practice.
The AOFM is a small agency where your contribution will be valued and rewarded. The AOFM provides generous assistance for work-related study and professional development.
Qualifications: A degree qualification from a recognised tertiary institution would be well regarded.
Experience: Substantial experience in one or more of corporate operations, governance, strategic planning, or performance reporting, is expected.
For the successful candidate we will pay relocation costs to Canberra.
