Overview of the position:

For our client, an international company based in Geneva, Switzerland, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join a fun and vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have strong business skills in wealth management, advisory activities, financial instruments, order processing, and a good understanding of MiFID, FinSA and ESG regulations. The successful candidate will also have technical skills in SQL, web technologies and platforms, REST APIs, and JIRA. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals and help shape the future of the business.

This is a contract starting ASAP until December 2023.

Main responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize business needs and requirements
• Analyse data using SQL and other tools to perform fact-based analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
• Design and document business processes and workflows
• Identify and document business requirements, user stories and use cases
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly
• Monitor and analyse the performance of business processes and systems
• Ensure that all solutions meet regulatory requirements such as MiFID, FinSA, and ESG regulations
• Work with project managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget

Your expertise:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in Wealth Management or related field
• Strong understanding of financial instruments and order processing
• Good knowledge of MiFID, FinSA, and ESG regulations
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to retrieve data and perform fact-based analysis
• Understanding of web technologies and platforms
• Experience with REST APIs and ability to read JSON messages and understand what they do functionally
• Knowledge of JIRA for writing User Stories
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget
