Senior Product Specialist (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Burlington, MA): The Senior Product Specialist will work on State Street Software as a Service-based Solution (SaaS), which is designed to automate and simplify investment management on a single platform - from portfolio management and risk analytics through trading and post-trade settlement, with integrated compliance and managed data throughout. The Senior Product Specialist will leverage experience with technical software for overall quality planning and execution, troubleshooting problems and providing solutions for optimal usage of the Charles River System. Specific duties include: Executing software testing to include functional testing, system testing, regression testing, and performance testing; Creating and maintaining automated test script libraries for functional regression testing; Creating comprehensive test plans with well defined, reusable test cases from business requirements and functional specification documents; Documenting software defects in an issues tracking system and proactively communicating issues with other software developers and other project team members; Participating in business requirements and functional specifications reviews early in the software development lifecycle process; Managing scheduling to ensure efficient and effective product testing; Identifying and reporting risk to project schedule and product quality and proposing new methods to control and/or mitigate risks; Participating in daily standup to report progress status to Scrum Lead and project team members; and Providing testing leadership for the projects assigned to. Telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.
Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; plus 5 years in any occupation/title where relevant testing experience in financial services industry can be gained.
Must have: Demonstrated experience with SQL and Oracle; Proven ability to trouble shoot and diligently replicate customer issues; Demonstrated experience with UI Automation testing tools including Silk4Net, Parasoft, or Selenium; Demonstrated experience with API testing and automating web service testing using SOAP UI; and Demonstrated experience with performance and load testing and performance automation. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the ability in the skills listed above with no specific amount of years of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)
