Role Responsibilities
  • To support Global Cash business in Transaction Banking in delivering business requirements and results globally.
  • The role is focused on driving business performance / results through a) facilitating the implementation of Bank-wide and TB initiatives b) supporting discussions and decision-making at various forums / committees c) delivering efficiency, change, and business performance agendas.
  • The role requires a close working relationship with all aspects of the TB business and with other teams including TB Sales & Coverage, DCDA, TB COO and T&I. The role ensures that initiatives are executed in a manner that optimizes long-term revenue growth for TB Cash, providing the rigor and discipline to align initiatives with TB's business plans and strategic imperatives, while also managing risk, benefits and costs.
Strategy
  • Assist with strategic planning including the development and production of strategic plans, management business reviews, performance updates, and associated research, analysis, and presentation.
  • Drive alignment of objectives and scorecard metrics to strategic goals.
  • Track deliverables to ensure completion of goals and targets across Cash.
Business
  • Support the implementation of NWoW across Cash, and in alignment with the broader CCIB model and approach.
  • Oversight of the Cost for the cash business, including tracking of HC movement, cash business cost centre management, plus assistance with hiring approvals.
  • Lead, develop, implement, and track business initiatives / projects.
  • Support the design, review, and roll-out of scorecards including the assessment of relevant / applicable metrics, and the coordination of the target setting process for business and individual scorecards.
  • Coordinate and support business engagements with other teams / partners in the Bank and external parties (i.e., consultants, vendors, auditors, regulators, clients, media/publications, etc.)
  • Facilitate both internal and external communication (e.g., business update, appointments, team calls, town halls, press release, Bridge, media interviews) as well as brand / marketing related activities (e.g., client events, industry / proprietary forums, etc.)
  • Lead the work to drive culture improvement across Cash, with focus on D&I, recognition, work/life balance and training.
Processes
  • Continuously improve business management efficiency by simplifying and standardizing operational processes and procedures. Identify and implement best practices in resources and processes, ensuring consistency and relevancy.
  • Support implementation of initiatives that will deliver upon the strategic objectives of Cash as well as materially improve Cash financial and operational efficiency.
  • Work with business and infrastructure stakeholders to identify and prioritise systems enhancements, and associated business cases and investments.
  • Manage delegated authorities, systems access approvals and client portfolio tagging, clean up and governance.
People and Talent
  • Support the delivery of management information to meet the needs of business and assist in talent management, P3 process, learning and development initiatives such as training workshops, learning curriculums, staff surveys, certification programs, etc.
Governance
  • Organise/coordinate business meetings and escalations with stakeholders and support functions (e.g., MBR, Cash Deal Review, Offsite, Product Forums etc).
  • Prepare reports, presentations, papers, and review material to support discussions and decision making at various forums (e.g., TBMT / CCIBMT/ ALCO / NPMOC, etc)
  • Regulatory & Business conduct - ensuring compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with local banking laws, other applicable laws (e.g., laws governing securities activities, company law and anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines)
  • Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role. Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group's policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters. Embed the Group's values and code of conduct to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees form part of the culture.
