How will I help?

It's max term contract role for 12 months and will be based in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity in the Treasury Risk second line function to support the Group Treasury team in managing funding, liquidity and capital risk across the Group. The role will require insightful and data-driven analysis, forward-looking approaches, and collaborative execution of the second line mandate.

Key responsibilities:
  • You will be supporting Liquidity Risk and Funds Transfer Pricing Oversight in fulfilling the Risk purpose to provide leading funding and liquidity oversight, insight and control and enable the team to conduct appropriate review and challenge of business proposals
  • Conduct independent review and investigation of risk management activities e.g. regulatory ratios, limits and execution activities
  • Analyse and investigate trends and variances in the bank's risk profile.
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools used for risk analysis.
  • Contribute to development of the Risk policies.
  • Understand the key regulatory standards for funding and liquidity.
  • Conduct gap analysis, review and update policies in line with framework improvements and regulatory changes
  • Prepare periodic risk reports and insights for senior management, including the Group Chief Risk Officer, Group Chief Financial Officer, and Group Chief Executive Officer
  • Assist in internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of papers for committees and regulators as required

What do I need?
  • Bachelors degree in a Finance or related discipline
  • You will have strong interpersonal, communication skills and good time management skills
  • Strong writing and Excel skills preferred - Technical knowledge of SQL and VBA would be desirable.
