About our client

We are working with a European private equity firm with extensive experience in providing impactful investment solutions across sectors. The team is now looking to hire an Associate Director to expand its ESG team in Stockholm. What the job involves

  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to implement pre-investment due diligence to enable presenting of material ESG factors for consideration by the Investment Committee
  • Driving identification and supporting implementation of ESG initiatives to enable value protection and value creation in the portfolio companies
  • Working alongside the Management teams of portfolio companies in the definition of their respective ESG KPI and targets, ensuring continuous monitoring and analysis, supporting performance improvement and reporting to relevant stakeholders on the evolution of these KPI and targets
  • Work with other ESG team members and portfolio companies on portfolio-wide engagement projects such as GHG footprint evaluation
  • Support the ESG teams' work on ESG reporting to key stakeholders, such as investors
  • Support internal communication on ESG topics, including internal presentations and training
  • Supporting communication and engagement with external stakeholders, including investors and in industry initiatives
  • Proactively assist in building the company's ESG profile and support the continued development and execution of the firm's sustainability programme
Who we are looking for

  • University degree
  • Previous experience in a similar role with a consultancy firm, private equity company or in a corporate environment in a relevant industry
  • Experience and in depth knowledge of sustainability trends relevant to the firm's sector focuses
  • Ability and drive to work autonomously, whilst being an integral part of the Stockholm office, as well as the geographically dispersed ESG team
  • A strong cross team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, positive and outgoing in nature, able to interact and engage with various stakeholders including senior level decision makers
  • Service oriented and diligent
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines and simultaneously manage multiple priorities and workstreams
  • Fluent English and Swedish, proficiency in Dutch, French or German language advantageous
