We're seeking a future team member for the role of Group Manager, Control-ECCO Central Services Strategy & Implementation to join our Enterprise Chief Controls Office . This role is in Pittsburgh, PA and is a hybrid in office role.

This role sits within the Enterprise Chief Controls Office. The Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO) is responsible for establishing industry leading risk & control management capabilities to enable responsible business growth, underpinned by a culture of accountability. The ECCO is creating an integrated framework, building scalable platforms and simplified practices to identify, assess, and remediate risk, while focused on business priorities.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Responsible for the prioritization and oversight of all Risk & Control, Remediation and Regulatory change initiatives for the first line of defence.
  • Support annual capital planning and in-year change control activities.
  • Initiatives in scope will be highly visible, high-priority and with a significant impact across the enterprise, as such this is a prominent role dealing with senior SMEs and management.
  • Coordinates prioritization across all lines of business and lines of defence.
  • Undertakes vetting of initiatives and facilitates consultation for proposed and in-flight change.
  • Ensures initiatives are quickly and thoroughly understood and uses knowledge of the portfolio to apply a horizontal lens to identify any overlap or opportunities for increased scope.
  • Provides constructive challenge to stakeholders, including senior management. Prepares materials for and contributes to monthly prioritization sessions with senior management.
  • Contributes to developing the strategic direction of the Enterprise Chief Controls Office and drives implementation of strategic plans.
  • Maintains oversight of central integrated plan comprising key deliverable across all ECCO services.
  • Holds service leads to account and supports an enterprise wide roll out.
  • Coordinates Central Services team planning and prioritization, challenging and ratifying the approach, evolving the plan, and ensuring deliverables are on track.
  • Produces routine and bespoke MI to support decision making. Driving efficiency and automation wherever possible.

LEADERSHIP
  • The role will operate with a high degree of independence and the candidate will need be able to coordinate and influence contacts in the broader ECCO team and provide guidance as appropriate.

JOB SCOPE
  • ECCO Central services strategy and implementation. Prioritization and oversight of all Regulatory and Risk and Control change initiatives for the first line of defense.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required; advanced degree preferred 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a talent for expressing complex problems and solutions in a manner suited to a variety of audiences and dealing with multiple senior management stakeholders and multiple business lines/functions.
  • Ability to consume and analyze detail, distil key points, present a view or logical argument and executive level summary,
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to build trust with a diverse group of colleagues, comfortable engaging and challenging stakeholders at all levels of seniority in a constructive way.
  • Detail-oriented with analytical mindset. Must be able to analyze data and spot patterns. Demonstrate strong strategic problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team. Self-motivated with an ability to get things done, working from a limited brief to contribute to strategic priorities. Ability to confidently adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Produce high quality work that will be scrutinized at the highest levels.
  • Skilled in capturing and communicating requirements and validating information with strong organizational skills .
