This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team in a newly created role as a Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting within our Banking and Financial Services division. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a difference, challenge the status quo and support Business stakeholders uplift processes and maintain a robust regulatory reporting control environment.
What impact will you have?
As a Regulatory Reporting SME, you'll bring knowledge of, and a genuine interest in regulatory reporting, and be a highly motivated and organised individual with strong interpersonal skills. You will be able to demonstrate success in prior roles within financial institutions or a Big 4 institution, demonstrate your knowledge of regulatory reporting and EFS and be looking for opportunities to take the next step in your career and expand your skillset.
You will play a significant role in managing our regulatory reporting team to meet BAU regulatory reporting requirements and enhance the data management and analytics capability across the APRA reporting function.
You will be encouraged to examine problems from every angle, challenge the status quo and come up with new and innovative ways of progressing our business while being supported by a diverse leadership team.

You will play a significant role in managing our regulatory reporting team to meet BAU regulatory reporting requirements and enhance the data management and analytics capability across the APRA reporting function.
- technical advisory and interpretation of statistical regulatory reporting requirements for regulators that include APRA, the RBA and the ABS
- application of business context to assess and document assumptions and interpretations, including consultation with regulators to validate application of the requirements
- investigation into regulatory reporting matters and working across the regulatory reporting ecosystem with the support of business and product teams to respond to regulator queries
- understanding and appreciation of the application of regulatory reporting requirements to data transformation and data lineage concepts and controls
- ongoing engagement, consultation and challenge of the data team, business units, risk management team and senior management to reassess and reconfirm interpretations
- ongoing identification of new assumptions and interpretations through reviewing regulator publications, other communications from regulators, as well as through discussion with other entities regarding industry practice
- liaison and management of second line review and challenge, including communication to key internal and external stakeholders
- provision of training for ongoing as well as new and amended requirements
- degree qualified with a CA qualification or equivalent
- 8+ years post qualified experience in a similar role
- experience working in a financial services or banking firm, with previous exposure to regulatory reporting
- excellent verbal and written communication skills across a variety of audiences
- analytical and strong problem solving skills
- excellent stakeholder management skills including demonstrated ability to engage and influence
- adaptability to change, ability to progress tasks independently, motivated to deliver to a high quality, and demonstration of resilience to setbacks
- strong people management experience.
