Group Strategic Marketing & Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital communications, marketing, and research to differentiate - and elevate - our brand from the rest of the competition.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution of key strategic initiative in SG DBS Better by the Bay (DBS BBTB) that aims to entrench DBS' identity as a leading activist for sustainability.
  • Working closely with the Impact Beyond Banking team (DBSF, PoP, TZFW) to integrate programmes scaling and driving our impact in partnership with Esplanade.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders and working with a cross-functional team to deliver the elements of the partnership with Esplanade.
  • Good project management skills to execute plans and programmes effectively to achieve the aligned objective.
  • This position reports jointly to the Team Lead for Community Impact as well as Project Lead for BBTB.
  • Create and execute programmes that effectively engage our target audience - both external and internal - in all Impact Beyond Banking efforts (BBTB, volunteering, TZFW, and programmes of DBSF)
  • Closely manage and track budgets and effectiveness of programmes; and support the team in conducting post-event evaluations and analysis for review with management/ stakeholders.
  • Aid the design, development, delivery, and management of all internal and external marketing and communications.
  • Support partner relationship management by helping to establish target operating models that drive operational efficiencies and foster long-term relationship growth.
Requirements:
  • Recognised degree related to Entrepreneurship / Management / Business / Communications / Technology or other relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years work experience, with strong business and/or strategic partnership and /or project management and communications skills
  • Must be able to work independently in a lean team, with minimal supervision
  • Experience in strategic partnership initiatives with a strong team work component
  • Partnerships - self-starter who is able to drive the Bank's sustainability agenda through strong and relevant ecosystem partnerships, both internal and external.
  • This requires an understanding of the strategic priorities, and the ability to match these with development and execution of plans on the ground, and follow-through with a data-driven approach to track performance and adapt approaches as needed with a clarity on the overall objective.
  • Project management skills - to execute initiatives and events that are part of the Sustainability plan, working with an extended cross-functional team both within and outside GSMC.
  • Team player - able to leverage expertise across various teams in GSMC and across the Bank, to further the DBS Sustainability agenda, including working with the regional GSMC teams
  • Communication skills - Communicate effectively to various stakeholders internal and external, and ensuring all relevant stakeholders are updated on the plan and it's execution, as well as providing their respective updates towards meeting an execution timelines.
