Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide superior risk and control advice and support to Card and Unsecured Lending, Digital Banking and Data & Analytics Business
  • Ensure departmental procedures are in line with corporate policy and legislative requirements
    Act as the key point of contact for all audits and reviews of Card and Unsecured Lending and
  • Digital Banking and Data & Analytics Business carried out by, but limited to, regulators, internal and external audits, and regional reviews
  • Manage departmental operational risk self-assessment and risk indicator reporting, developing automated and data driven control monitoring solutions
  • Manage detail corrective actions plans, tackling of issues at a root-cause level, and working with stakeholders and advisers to ensure actions are sufficient
  • Manage Card and Unsecured Lending, Digital Banking and Data & Analytics Business's controls and quality frameworks ensuring compliance to policies, procedures, and reporting to stakeholders
  • Manage departmental continuity of business and security entitlement requirements
  • Engage in process, system, and regulatory projects to ensure that changes are robustly implemented within Card and Unsecured Lending, Digital Banking and Data & Analytics Business
  • Engage in the review and closure of Issue and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) management
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders throughout the New Product Process / New Product Oversight
  • Coordinate and manage all Policy Deviation requests and renewals for the country
  • Engage stakeholders in the analysis, approval, and reporting of operational loss incidents
  • Perform targeted deep dive reviews to identify weaknesses and process improvement opportunities
  • Work with business unit managers and staff to dimension and implement business process and collateral changes in line with policy and regulatory changes
  • Attend industry, regulatory and legal workshops to maintain awareness of issues impacting the business
  • Support the Business Team in ensuring quality, accuracy and completeness of documentation and artifacts, for all new product or service launches, and variations to existing product or services, as required by the Consumer Product Approval Committee (CPAC) Standard
  • Performing the Risk Rating of Covered Initiatives and Post Implementation Reviews along with the Subject Matter Experts as the First Line of Defense
  • Review of risk and control aspects for Covered Initiatives prior to submission to the CPAC, including aspects such as Treating Customer Fairly, Conduct Risk, Reputational Risk, Manager Control Assessment, and the digitization of controls and monitoring
  • Engaging with the Regional Product Counterpart and Function Leads on Covered Initiatives well in advance of Pre-PAC and CPAC meetings
  • Participating in all applicable governance forums and CPAC meetings
  • Performing a post-CPAC approval review on the Covered Initiatives to ensure that all pre-launch & post-launch conditions have been fulfilled and the initiative is operating as designed
Qualification
  • 8 to 10 years consumer banking, risk and control and/or operations working experience
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Sound knowledge of Cards and Loans controls and regulatory requirement
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Advanced organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking and following up
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Experience working collaboratively across various areas of the organization and presenting to senior management
