Finance Manager

About the Company
This is a hiring for a global life insurer, they are one of the biggest insurer who have placed massive focus on people development and making the working environment fun.

Responsibilities
Based in Hong Kong, this is a replacement position and we are helping our client to recruit for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for financial reporting work. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Finance and will be working alongside other accountants in building and maintaining a strong finance department.

• Month end closing, ensuring GL and GJ are properly entered into system
• Consolidation is part of the job, you need be comfortable with this
• Tidying and preparing month end closing report, which includes checking and making sure team members closing are prepared timely and accurately. (AP reconciliation, depreciation and amortization, bank recon).
• Work with internal and external auditor during the "time" of the year
• Work with Senior management team in ad-hoc assignment, such as valuation for projects or assist with financial modelling for year end forecast/Cash flows analysis
• Other ad-hoc finance & accounting related matters

Requirements

• A recognized degree either from Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business or similar field
• 5-10 years of experience in accounting & finance, ideally someone who are familiar with the IFRS development in insurance and tax treatment (not a must)
• An ex-auditor with 3-5 years of big4 auditing experience has an advantage.
• Preference for candidates who are assistant manager level looking for a career advancement.
• Proactive personality, a people person, strong curiosity and enjoy working with people. Able to prove leadership experience, managing an effective team.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle will be advantageous but not a must
