We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Product, Life Product Development.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Support product creation/development by:
    • Researching customer segments and demands
    • Producing good quality product market intel/comparison
    • Gathering feedback through marketing surveys, regular focus group with partners/agency group, internal stakeholders and reinsurers
    • Ensuring the product design comply with the MAS, LIA as well as the HSBC Life internal requirements
  • Support product launch by:
    • Doing documentation of Product Specs and working with various departments to submit system requirements
    • Preparing point-of-sales documents and ensuring they comply with regulatory requirements
    • Collaborating with the project management team to agree on product development and launch timelines
    • Collaborating with marketing, digital and training teams to create marketing collaterals, training slides and other sales support tools
    • Supporting in product related campaign in collaboration with the marketing and distribution teams
    • Preparing product approval document for local as well as group office in a timely manner
    • Performing UAT for the relevant systems to support the product launch
    • Performing product post-launch review (including sales performance, feedback from the ground etc) which aligned with the HSBC standard guideline/requirements
    • Provide sales support and handle enquiries from distribution channels or internal stakeholders in matters related to products
Requirements
  • 8 years of relevant product development experience in life insurance industry preferably with degree in Actuarial Science (In depth knowledge of Singapore life insurance market and products is a plus too)
  • Strong product development background and good knowledge of the Retails and HNW product landscape in Singapore
  • Strong business acumen and communication skill, with proven ability to influence and work with people from different business functions
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • A positive, enthusiastic, committed and 'can do' attitude team player
