The Australian Office of Financial Management (AOFM) is the sovereign debt manager for Australia. We are a small, specialised agency that manages a portfolio of Australian Government Securities of more than $900 billion and two investment funds totalling $17 billion. The Structured Finance and Strategy (SFS) group has been tasked with managing these two investment funds: the Australian Business Securitisation Fund (ABSF) and the Structured Finance Support Fund (SFSF).
AOFM is looking to expand the leadership team managing new and existing SFSF and ABSF investments. This will require oversight of investment documentation terms and, where required, negotiation with originators. The Manager - SFS is expected to support the team through quantitative modelling and credit assessment of securitisation transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing one or more people in the unit and stewarding their professional development. As a technical support in the group, the Manager is expected to add value to current processes, manage associated risks, and drive improvements.
The AOFM is a small agency where your contribution will be valued and rewarded. The AOFM provides generous assistance for work-related study and professional development.
Qualifications: Degree qualification in a relevant field is mandatory (e.g. finance, applied mathematics, commerce, business, or actuarial studies).
Experience: Candidates are expected to have experience in one or more of securitisation, credit analysis, transaction modelling, investment portfolio management, or transaction documentation.
For the successful candidate we will pay relocation costs to Canberra or Sydney.
Contact Stephen Maher (Head of Investments) on 02 6263 1140 for further information.
