The Role: Product Business Intern - NRS Global Markets Group

T he Team : You will become a member of the Global Markets Group. We provide solutions to all stakeholders in the capital formation process. Our key clients are the Equity and Debt Capital Market desks at investment banks. We see growth in providing solutions to issuers of securities and the institutional investor community.

The Summer 2023 Internship Program will provide you with a variety of experiences to help you identify your strengths, develop highly transferable skills, and align you to a successful career path for a bright future at S&P Global.

Responsibilities : You will be part of a team that builds tools to derives actionable insights from data, creates interactive visual analytics content which helps drive the client engagement. The candidate would be a part of our data, analytics, and visualization projects which will add value and propel the analysis and research of this critical team. The solutions you will work on will provide actionable intelligence to our clients.
  • Develop an understanding of our industry and clients
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to refine requirements
  • Develop an understanding of our internal data model and API infrastructure
  • Create documentation - release notes, training materials, etc.
  • Participate in client conversations
  • Exposure to the capital formation process through the primary markets for issuance of equity (IPOs) and fixed income (corporate bonds, structured bonds, Muni bonds, etc.) securities
What We're Looking For:
  • A bachelor degree in Data Analytics, Finance or equivalent completed no later than May 2024
  • Experience/interest in visual interactive dashboards like AWS Quick Sight, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Finance, capital markets, electronic trading, investing interest/experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Collaborate and work well within multiple organizational and functional departments
  • Ability to identify opportunities for innovation to enhance our offerings
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task across projects
Grade /Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 5

The Location: Dallas, Texas Position will be Hybrid

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $ 21 to $ 30 . Final salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications .
