We're seeking a future team member in the role of Control Specialist - Business Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Control Intelligence and Analytics team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA - Hybrid work model

Enterprise Control Intelligence and Analytics (ECIA) is a newly formed group under Enterprise Chief Control Office (ECCO). The mandate for the team is to provide data driven solutions to assist the Enterprise-wide first-line of the defense control on Firm exposures. More specifically, provide Firm's senior managers, Risk control and Finance managers with Enterprise-wide reports on risk exposures resulted from unexpected events.

Business Solution Architect support 3 types of major activities in the Control Intelligence Team:
  1. Develop time-to-market proof of concepts or tactical solutions
  2. Drive strategic solutions with technology team for sustainability and scalability
  3. Manage BAU changes and maintenances of the solutions

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Independently explore and propose relevant data sets that are required for intelligence generation leveraging advanced data analytics tool sets such as Alteryx, BI tools, and programming languages.
  • Organize workshops with key stakeholders and SMEs to explore, discover, challenge, propose clear, solid and solution-oriented business requirements and data requirements.
  • Develop time-to-market control intelligence BI dashboards for use cases prioritized by ECCO
  • Work with technical partners to assist the implementation of the strategic solution in support of the Enterprise-wide risk exposure report generation
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand E2E business architecture. Effectively communicate scope of solutions. Gather, validate, and improve business and data requirements.
  • Consult, facilitate understanding and translate data requirements into logical, physical, and semantic layer models across the analytical data environment
  • Work with technology solution team to ensure data structures are fungible and scalable to support future business needs
  • Partner with Intelligence Delivery team and business SMEs to properly QA the results and timely address changes to the solutions
  • Ensure periodic refresh of existing reports and dashboards. Address any production issues.
  • Maintain inventory of business requirements, data requirements, data dictionary, issues etc.
  • Enable and guide analytics user community in the understanding, location, and selection of appropriate data sources to achieve key business goals
  • Be an advocate for best practices while balancing business value and reasonable practicality

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Degree in math, engineering, statistics, computational finance, or economics preferred
  • 5-7 years total work experience preferred. Relevant work experience preferred
  • Hands on building rapid POC report experiences preferred
  • Knowledge on Financial operations is a big plus
  • Experience with financial data processing and analyses are needed
  • Business Intelligence experience preferred
  • Good communications and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to learn new analytic tools such as Alteryx and PowerBI
  • Additional skills on data analyses in programming language such as R, Python, SQL are highly preferred
  • Knowledge of the structuring of data environments and applications that use big data processes is a plus
