Macquarie Business Bank's Property Finance team is a leader within the Australian property investment financing market. The business has broad reach across all core and alternative commercial real estate sectors, with clients ranging from UHNW Family Offices, Boutique Property Funds, listed/unlisted REITs and Institutional sponsors both domestic and abroad.

To support rapid business growth we are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join our Deal Execution team as a Corporate Property Analyst. 'Deal Execution' delivers structuring solutions, expertise and real estate advisory to the wider Property Finance team and is both customer facing and analytical.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Growing the Property Finance lending book; delivering portfolio returns and managing risk proactively
  • Deal structuring: Early-stage engagement with customers, referral partners and internal stakeholders to deliver lending proposals that is both commercially compelling and within the bank's risk profile
  • Preparation of early-stage credit papers, pitch decks, financial models and credit ratings
  • Oversight and support for the Originations and Coverage teams by providing insight and advice around diligence, risk and legal documentation for large ticket transactions
  • Delivering transactional strategy; policy & process amendments and portfolio management reporting that help drive a competitive but risk appropriate lending proposition
  • Stakeholder management across internal and external counterparties including but not limited to Treasury, Credit Committee, Support Teams and Referral Partners.
This role would be well suited to a self motivated professional who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, with strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate:
  • Prior experience in real estate finance, corporate or leveraged finance
  • An ability to think laterally, quickly solving qualitative and quantitative problems as they arise
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver under pressure
  • Post graduate qualifications such as MBA, Masters of Applied Finance or CFA would be considered favourably
