Overview

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Principal, Information Security in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to consult and provide professional support for major components of the company's information security infrastructure. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation. Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Utilizing SIEM, Intrusion Detection Systems, Vulnerability Scanners, Threat Intelligence, Firewalls, AntiVirus (Symantec/McAfee), EDR, and Network Traffic Analytics technologies to build threat detection and threat hunt content; Utilizing cyber security frameworks including NIST, and CSF to research threat actors and techniques; Developing use case validation scripts, simulating test environments, and replaying logs for threat detection content validation; Utilizing SIEM tools for data analytics, building visualizations, detecting abnormal traffic patterns, and building correlation rules; and Utilizing forensics technologies including Encase Malware Sandbox, and Cuckoo. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Utilizing Threat detection frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK and Lockheed Martin CKC to develop detection content; Utilizing Splunk Enterprise Security, Securonix Snypr (UEBA), Microsoft Defender, Logichub (SOAR), IronDefense (NDR), and Anomali Threatstream to build threat detection/threat hunt content; and Utilizing security validation & attack simulation technologies including Mandiant Security Validation, attackIQ, and Safebreach to measure effectiveness of cyber security controls.
