We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Central Operations - Tax Services.

Principal Responsibilities

I. Position Summary
  • Assist in the daily operational tax end to end processes
  • Provide daily resolution to internal business and external customers' tax related enquiries
  • Support managers in communicating major tax changes and impacts to stakeholders; assist to ensure transition changes smoothly for clients
  • Assist in tax research and analyses of tax changes impacting financial industry
  • Assist in preparation of annual tax filing to authorities
  • Deliver processes in adherence with investment countries tax practices and internal audit/compliance requirements
II. Principal Accountabilities
  • Contribute to new client on-boarding process from tax perspective
  • Validate with relevant stakeholders on unclear issue and escalate as appropriate
  • Ensure awareness are made to business on tax change affecting their operations / clients
Requirements

III. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

This position requires an individual with:
  • Tax professional preferred, with some level of knowledge in delivering tax related services in a securities tax environment
  • Candidates with experience in Operations will also be considered
  • Able to work in pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively
  • Personal qualities of ownership, stability and leadership
  • Strategic and creative thinker
  • Change manager and open-minded
  • Team player and people motivator
  • Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Good time management
