The Role: Oil-Markets Midstream Downstream (OMD) Consulting Europe/CIS/Africa - Analyst

The Team: This team leads S&P Global's consulting within this industry segment for Europe, CIS and Africa regions. This team of diverse professionals brings together broad industry experience, working collaboratively with each other and other teams within S&P Group to provide our clients with expert insight, analysis and advice.

The Impact: This role is responsible for assisting consultants with data analysis and research, compilation of project reports and presentations across a wide range of activities related to the crude oil and refined products value chains.

This role will provide an opportunity to work with different clients, on a wide variety of different consulting projects, and will provide learning opportunities in the constantly evolving downstream industry, as the energy transition progresses, and industry participants need to adapt and change.

Responsibilities:
  • Construct and manipulate complex Excel workbooks and databases for data analysis
  • Conduct independent research via public and internal sources
  • Presentation of data and assisting with report writing for clients
  • Ability to translate raw data and concepts into graphical reports
  • Audit and update proprietary models and tools such as the crude oil and refined product price forecast models and crude oil assay cutting tools
  • Become specialize in particular areas through learning and the growth of internal networks
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 1 year directly related experience traditionally acquired by working for industry, consulting or technology firms
  • Degree required in engineering, economics, statistics or industry-related fields, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Data analysis skills and experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
