Role Responsibilities
Strategy
  • To meet business targets in line with business plans agreed with the business head.
  • To pro-actively engage in the whole deal process as dedicated FAM office banker, and lead on the screening, structuring, pitching, approval, execution and monitoring.
Business
  • Enhance cross-selling of the bank's products in line with the account plans, focusing on the maximization of return criteria set by the bank. Coordinate and cooperate with product partners to align for product focus.
  • Undergo a proactive asset portfolio management with an aim to enhance balance sheet efficiency in line with the bank's internal guidance and account strategies.
Processes
  • Ensure that all administrational works associated with the portfolio is done accurately in accordance with laid down procedures and on a timely basis, including but not limited to, know-your-customer procedures, documentation, reporting, etc.
  • Strictly follow the policy and rules, live the value propositions, and follow the bank's compliance environment when making business / finance decision / judgment.
People and Talent
  • Coach junior client managers and provide guidance to other junior deal members.
  • Grow all-rounded product knowledge and keep learning new expertise.
Risk Management
  • Maintain a high-quality credit profile for the managed portfolio with close monitoring of the customers' financial performances and keeping abreast of the latest market conditions.
  • Be the major responsible person for the proposed credits, making sure the credit analysis is robust, proper approvals are obtained and required reviews and monitoring are done in due course.
  • Be eloquent in presenting and pushing the case through the credit approval chain.
Governance
  • Ensure to follow group governance and implement into daily business. Encourage strong governance culture in the team and business operation.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.
