We're seeking a future team member in the role of Lead Production Services Application Support to join our Production Services Support Technology team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA R Lake Mary, FL - HYBRID/REMOTE.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for all incidents, problems and changes related to applications specific to the line of business
  • Experience with databases both relational (Oracle)
  • Knowledge of Rest APIs
  • Prior experience in Java Sprint Boot (micro services) framework.
  • Experience in release engineering, configuration management, software development or related discipline.
  • Level 2 application support to solve more complex application issues than simple helpdesk tasks
  • Prioritize issues coming in as ServiceNow tickets from the users
  • Verify that incident tickets are prioritized and routed correctly
  • Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications.
  • Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup
  • Works on root cause analysis and problem management to address underlying technical issues.
  • Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders.
  • Monitors changes to applications and their operating environment.
  • Analyzes any complex issues.
  • Prior Experience in working across regions and cross functional teams
  • Contributes to incident resolution for high priority incidents.
  • Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
  • Strong analytical/troubleshooting ability, technical experience, and motivation to learn to assist experienced IT professionals.
  • Technical background includes Windows Client/Server, Linux Server and related technologies.
  • Candidate should have some experience with problem management or collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT and Service Now.
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and have a production support discipline to support rigorous demands to support business operations including availability off-hours and on weekends.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • 8+ JavaOracle support experience at a Financial Firm (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering (based on a BS or MS in CS, or equivalent experience)
  • Hands on Java Technologist
  • have some experience in process workload automation or some programming or scripting skillset (SQL, Python, Shell or Windows Powershell).
  • experience in Spring Batch Framework, Spark, Kafka Streaming Solutions
  • Knowledge of Rest APIs
  • Prior experience in Sprint Boot (micro services) framework.
  • Partner with QA/Ops/Client teams in supporting QA/UAT initiatives
  • Knowledge in various branching/merging methodologies and release procedures.
  • Experience with continuous integration build engines, such as Jenkins, Cruise Control, etc.
  • Experience with IT automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
  • Experience with container technology such as Docker
  • Exposure to Agile development processes and tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Kanban.
  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Bash, batch, etc.) and familiarity with Windows, Linux (RHEL preferred) and Unix.
  • Recommends technical solutions on application problems.
  • Reviews and develops updates of contingency documentation and processes.
  • Reviews and analyzes product migrations through all systems environments.
  • May review and execute Change Management scripts.
  • Should possess a strong understanding of investment management application, functionality and a general knowledge of business data.
  • Experience with databases both relational (Oracle, MSSQL) and non-relational (NoSQL, HBase)
  • Strong Analytical Skills, Able to comprehend and dissect a problem
  • Must have strong deductive reasoning & diagnostic problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner, willing to go outside of comfort zone and learn new things.
