Position Overview
Goldner Hawn is looking to add an Associate that will be an integral member of our investment team and work closely with senior members of the firm across all phases of private equity investing, including investment evaluation and execution, as well as portfolio management. The Associate role is a 2 – 3 year program with advancement opportunity for exceptional performers. Primary responsibilities include:
Review and analysis of investment opportunities
Industry and private company research
Drafting and presenting investment memorandums
Due diligence (both internal analysis as well as management of third parties)
Financial modeling and analysis
Portfolio company monitoring and management
Participation in the sale process for existing portfolio companies.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of investment banking, private equity, consulting, or finance experience
Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic track record
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter and critical thinker who thrives in an environment without continuous oversight and values independent thought
Superior analytical skills and significant intellectual curiosity
Desire to join a team-oriented environment
Demonstrated ability to succinctly and thoughtfully summarize research analyses and investment rationale (written and via data)
