Pricing Portfolio Manager

Miryco Consultants are working with a Top 3 UK General Insurer to hire a Portfolio Pricing Manager to sit within a renowned Retail Pricing Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial and trading activity across the Direct Portfolio. They will be able to work closely with the Head of Portfolio Pricing in delivering all pricing initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other teams within Retail Pricing to implement efficiently the Retail Pricing Strategy.
• Work with peers in different areas of Pricing, Product and Customer functions to unify the Retail Strategy.
• Engage with modern analytical tools and techniques to provide a detailed and insightful understanding of data and pricing performance, with the aim of working towards the company's short and long-term goals.
• Manage the deliverables of the Portfolio Pricing team for the Direct business whilst developing and guiding a team of 2-3 junior analysts.
• Assist in the pricing for non-modelled risks to maintain Retail P&L standards and hit targets. Liaise with the pricing modelling department when necessary.
• Analyse competitors' price changes and strategy using third party market data.
• Support the Head of Pricing with Executive reports and decision making.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Management experience preferable.
• Experience with pricing software, ideally Emblem/RADAR
• Programming knowledge, such as SAS, R, Python.
• Experience with building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Understanding of the regulatory environment in which an insurance company operates.
• Eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom
• Strong presentation, analysis and influencing skills.

Location: London, Ipswich, Weybridge (Flexible Working)

Salary: Up to £80,000 plus bonus.
