Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer - Investment Bank

Overview

A leading investment bank with a strong presence in the Asia Pacific region, is seeking a talented and experienced Regulatory Compliance Individual to join their team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on APAC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the bank's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across the APAC region.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in accordance with APAC regulations.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the bank's compliance program across the APAC region.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and identify areas of potential risk in APAC.
• Provide guidance and training to business units on APAC regulatory compliance matters.
• Interact with regulatory agencies in APAC and respond to inquiries and requests for information.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in APAC regulations and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on APAC regulations.
• Strong knowledge of APAC regulations, including HKMA, SFC, MAS, and other relevant APAC regulatory bodies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders across the APAC region.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines across the APAC region.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing compliance teams across the APAC region is a plus.
