Are you a qualified Lawyer looking for an opportunity to join the legal team that supports our Retail Banking group? This role provides support to all products within the Banking and Financial Services group, playing a key role in ensuring that legal and regulatory risk is effectively managed across the business.
As a legal expert for financial products and services, you will liaise with a range of people across the business and risk functions.
You will work within a team that provides prompt, high quality and commercial legal advice on an "end to end" basis - this role will be focussed on deposit and payments products, digital banking platforms, as well as group-wide initiatives and providing support in areas relating to privacy, data and anti-money laundering.
To be a consideration for this role, you will be a qualified lawyer with previous exposure to financial services regulation, with approx. 4 years PQE. You will be self-motivated and highly engaged at work, enjoy working independently where required yet demonstrate the flexibility to collaborate and work well within teams. You will possess strong attention to detail with good risk management awareness, display a professional and commercial work approach as well as having a good ability to articulate complex legal analysis in simple and easy to understand language, in writing and verbally.
A strong candidate for this role will have experience in some or all of the following areas:
Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and InclusionThe diversity of our people is one of our greatest strengths. An inclusive and equitable environment enables us to deliver innovative and sustainable outcomes for our people, clients, shareholders and communities. From day one, you'll be encouraged to be yourself and supported to perform at your best. If our purpose of 'empowering people to innovate and invest for a better future' is as inspiring to you as it is to us, please apply. With the right technology, support and resources, our people can work in a range of flexible ways.
We are committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity, equity and inclusion. We encourage candidates to speak with a member of our recruitment team if you require adjustments to our recruitment process to support you, and the type of working arrangements that would help you thrive.
