You will proactively partner with a wide range of stakeholder's and finance partners, Supporting Macquarie's Corporate Operations Group. This role will closely align to the Infrastructure and Personal Technology and Cyber Security teams (Technology Services), which are fast growing areas, to demonstrate measurable value, deliver value adding analysis and meaningful insights.

This will involve interaction with teams in Infrastructure and Personal Technology and Cyber Security teams and across Macquarie, requiring flexibility, outstanding relationship and communication skills and a high attention to detail. You will be providing insights and analysis to help them effectively manage their cost base, support the delivery of Technology's strategy, and provide the opportunity to be a true business partner. This role includes:
  • Partnering with the Technology Services leadership on annual budget and reforecasts
  • You will use your strong communication skills alongside excellent analytical skills to review, challenge, and report monthly financial results across various divisions and providing meaningful insights.
  • Providing insight in partnership with stakeholders of forecast opportunities and business efficiencies
  • Partnering with the Technology Services leadership team on adhoc projects and on analysis to support decision making
  • Managing the risk and control environment for the Technology Services finance functions
  • Oversight of the Technology Services FP&A team in Sydney and Manila including day to day operations and career development
  • You will have tenacity, agility, and a proven ability to sustain high levels of performance in a fast-paced, output focused environment and be a natural collaborator who can initiate and lead conversations with the business regarding anticipated and emerging opportunities.
To be successful, you will be a qualified accountant who can demonstrate a keen interest in business performance reporting and a desire to build a career in financial management.
  • Technology Infrastructure Finance experience is preferred with exposure working on a portfolio upwards of $550 million in cost-based management
  • Experience leading an offshore team as well as a proactive attitude, inquisitive nature, and an ability to quickly grasp new concepts will be key to your success
  • Financial planning & analysis skills through having experience in a similar role preferably within financial services
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, a process improvement mindset, and an interest in working with colleagues in Australia and offshore teams
  • Experience with Apptio, PowerBI and other Technology Finance skills are highly advantageous.
