Our client, a global accounting firm is seeking to hire a talented and ambitious Director to sit within the Valuations team. You will be responsible for leading their expert valuations support to audit engagement teams. There is an established business case for progression to Partner in this role. Based in London with hybrid working on offer.
You will be responsible for managing a team of people tasked with providing technical support to audit engagement teams in connection with:
Impairment tests
Intangible assets valuations
Business combinations/Purchase price allocations
Share-based payment valuations
Equity investment valuations
Incremental borrowing rates
You will also:
Oversee the delivery of clear, succinct and robust valuation analysis to audit engagement teams
Develop and maintain quality control mechanisms for deliverables
Provide effective intellectual input and challenge on to senior staff on valuation assumptions and conclusions.
Keep up to date on regulatory changes in the audit sector and be responsible for communicating to the team.
Lead the development of best practice across audit valuations support, particularly around risk management.
Be keen to progress to a partner role in the short to medium term
Requirements
Professional qualification; ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
Significant valuation experience at a senior level gained from another professional services firm.
Experience of financial reporting valuations and a good understanding of the fair value accounting standards
Strong business writing, analytical and excel modelling skills.
