Role Summary

PIMCO is seeking a Senior Vice President to join the U.S. Global Wealth Management (U.S. GWM) Marketing team in either of our New York, NY, Austin, TX or Newport Beach, CA offices. Leading a two-person team of sales channel marketers, this individual will be responsible for owning the Financial Advisor experience, partnering with U.S. GWM Sales Leadership to develop channel-specific marketing strategies, define and execute channel marketing plans, and enable client-facing teams with compelling, best-in-class sales collateral to support PIMCO investments. The ideal candidate will combine an investor-centric mindset, investment knowledge and a keen understanding of distribution processes to lead engaging Financial Advisor-focused channel marketing efforts.

This role, and the associated team, serves as a lynchpin between broader marketing and the sales channels of U.S. GWM. It is a highly collaborative function that requires strong partnership with the business, but as importantly, with other U.S. GWM Marketing and global marketing teams.

Responsibilities
  • Build strong alignment and partner closely with U.S. GWM Sales Leadership - Private Client Group, Field, Business Development and Internal sales channel heads and divisional/regional management - to prioritize, plan, execute and measure Financial Advisor-driven marketing initiatives that drive engagement and business results
  • Prioritize advisor client journeys across sales segments and collaborate with Digital and Integrated Marketing teams to map, execute and evaluate these customized client experiences
  • Conceive, socialize and lead creation of industry-leading marketing content, campaign strategies and communication programs that benefit Financial Advisors and their investors
  • Work closely with U.S. GWM marketing colleagues on Partner Marketing and Strategic Initiatives teams to fully leverage their partner firm and growth markets efforts with advisor clients
  • Inform our lead generation and activation programs; collaborate with sales to ensure quality contacts are being sourced and followed up on effectively
  • Drive utilization of sales enablement and CRM technologies to modernize the ways that we run campaigns, make content accessible, deliver content to clients, and evaluate efforts
  • Establish a robust operating and communications model with the U.S. GWM sales organization to set strategy, plan, ideate, collaborate and collect feedback; to inform on and champion marketing efforts
  • Gather channel, competitor and industry intelligence with the goal of sharing insight with marketing colleagues, and consistently keeping our marketing strategy and tactics on pace
  • Stay abreast of the changing market environments, ensuring channel needs are anticipated and opportunities are addressed in a timely manner
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of two marketing channel managers to fulfill on these duties; collaborate effectively across numerous other Regional and Global marketing teams; foster a high performance culture by living our CORE values (Collaboration, Openness, Responsibility and Excellence)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance or another related field. Completion of, or working toward, an MBA, CFA or investment certification is preferred
  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience (e.g., marketing, sales, product or portfolio-related role within an investment or wealth management organization)
  • Strong interest in financial services marketing, and experience with asset management and retail/intermediary distribution
  • Superior interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to work effectively in various team settings and influence senior partners
  • Strong written communication skills - delivering a compelling message with brevity
  • Outstanding project management and prioritization skills, with experience leading strategic and tactical marketing initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and navigate multiple stakeholders and competing objectives
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn new concepts quickly, and complete multiple and diverse assignments with the highest level of quality
  • Affinity for, or direct experience with, data, analytics, sales enablement, marketing automation and segment marketing
  • Excitement for working in a highly collaborative, team-oriented, results-driven, creative and entrepreneurial environment
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors.
