This role will lead the People & Talent team supporting Hong Kong, Southeast Asia (SEA) and Japan. Partnering with the regional leadership team, you will provide end to end functional leadership including implementation of People initiatives that enable the delivery of the group strategy and business plans of the region for Airwallex.

Responsibilities:
    • Provide leadership, consulting and coaching to the HK, SEA, and JP leaders across all areas of People and Talent function including recruitment, employee/industrial relations, performance management, remuneration & benefits, talent management and development, mobility and regulatory compliance
    • Assists and/or leads, as appropriate, with the development and administration of programs, policies, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company, and the specific goals of the HK & SEA region.
    • Lead workforce planning and talent development for the region. Ensuring programs are in place for all key capabilities within the portfolio and implement strategies, such as graduate hiring and development to meet business needs.
    • Thrive to build a culture and working environment to engage, inspire team to achieve company's vision while live in company's core values each and every day.
    • Lead the People and Talent priorities and plan development, ensure the annual calendar of People related activity is executed effectively (eg performance review, remuneration, incentive) across the portfolio.
    • Assists and/or leads, as appropriate, with the development and administration of programs, policies, procedures and guidelines in alignment with company strategies and regional business needs
    • Drive operational excellence. Build strong HR functions, processes and systems to support business growth.
    • Works closely with the Country HR leads to ensure full compliance with systems, policies and procedures,
    • Ensure a highly competent and motivated People and Talent team is in place that is visibly connected across HK &SEA. Thrive to build an environment to engage, inspire team to achieve company's vision while live in company's core values each and every day.
Qualifications:
    • Broad experience across the full spectrum of an HR function, including advising and influencing at Senior Executive levels
    • Significant experience working across cultures, and ideally in the HK & SEA region
    • Degree qualified in Business, Human Resources or similar. with min 10 years HR experience and 5+ year leadership experience
    • Relevant industry related experience and scope of responsibility.
    • Excellent leadership skills, high degree of emotional intelligence and resilience.
    • Highly developed interpersonal skills - must be able to work with all levels of internal and external organizations and across cultures and countries.
    • Proficient at dealing with complexity.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
    • Unquestioned integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
