S&P Global is recruiting a Sydney or Melbourne based Commercial Director for the KY3P business. KY3P is a patented and industry-leading solution for Third Party Risk Management (TPRM). KY3P sits within the Network & Regulatory Solutions group of S&P Global Market Intelligence Division. It is a highly entrepreneurial business that has seen explosive growth through market innovation since inception in 2015. The KY3P team is an innovative, experienced, and driven team that always puts clients first.
The Commercial team develops the KY3P strategy and leads the growth of the business. It is organised around the four key areas of the business: data, platform, assessments, and managed services. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven and adaptive individual to help drive growth across these areas. Being an experienced practitioner in third party risk management is critical to being able to work with our clients and prospects to design a solution that is going to drive value in their business.
The successful candidate will be a member of the KY3P Commercial team and will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Marketing teams to drive initiatives for business growth.
The role has several key aspects:
Client engagement
With key clients in the financial services industry, the successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of major projects, including building strong relationships with senior stakeholders at key clients and working to drive greater adoption of our solutions and services. As a TPRM specialist, the successful candidate will work with clients to operationalise our solutions and work to embed our solutions and services to maximise value and engagement. This will draw of advisory skills to deliver this value.
The role will also support the sales team in progressing solution and service opportunities to close and leading the implementation for strategically important clients.
Strategic projects and initiatives
Our goal is to dominate the market for third party risk management with a strategy for both organic and inorganic growth. We have several strategic projects in Australia as well as in the broader APAC region which the successful candidate will help spearhead. These projects are critical to gaining momentum in key markets and industries and will step change the way third party risk is being managed by our clients. Such projects include live client engagements, industry association initiatives and thought leadership and events to drive awareness.
In summary, the role requires the candidate to have excellent relationship management skills, project management skills, risk and regulatory experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational/ coordination skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing sophisticated solutions for industry-leading prospects and clients and helping shape the KY3P product offering in the APAC region.
This is a perfect role for a risk management specialist who is passionate about driving change in this space, has a strategic mindset and is energised by being in front of clients and prospects.

The successful candidate will possess the following requirements and skills:
Education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • Over 7-10 years' work experience, preferrable with minimum 5 years' advisory experience in third party risk management
  • Experience of financial services risk and regulatory activities
  • Experience of engaging with industry associations and regulatory bodies
  • Experience at a large consulting firm (e.g., Big 4) is preferred
Commercial awareness:
  • Experience with revenue generation - can create value propositions for clients
  • Highly analytical - can apply an analytical lens to potential solutions
Management requirements:
  • Stakeholder management and solution generation
  • Experience working with large, complex clients as well as small, demanding clients
  • Experience working internally with multiple teams
Personal competencies:
  • Self-starter, who can be assertive and resourceful where necessary
  • Ability to work independently whilst regularly keeping the team updated on progress
  • Organized and with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to meet internal/external deadlines
  • Ability to present to management and clients
  • Ability to manage client expectations
Communication:
  • Ability to listen, learn quickly, and demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively across teams and partners
  • Excellent communication skills - listening, writing, speaking is a major pre-requisite
  • External communications are a critical component of the job as new product development and implementation will require major and thorough communication with customers and other relevant third-parties
Teamwork
  • Ability to influence and partner across internal teams and external clients
  • Ability to listen and incorporate other ideas into solutions
