SRE - Enterprise Data - New York- Market-Leading Global Hedge Fund

Industry-leading market maker using innovative and cutting-edge technology, with data at the core of the investment process, looking for an SRE with coding experience. Great opportunity for a creative problem-solver to work on world-class systems and the necessary tools to maintain and constantly improve.

Collaborating with colleagues across engineering, development and trade support, you'll define the process, set the framework and drive the end-to-end improvement, ensuring the the reliability, availability, and performance of applications. You'll also take ownership of the automation of repetitive tasks and resolution of systematic issues, based on root cause analysis.

The successful SRE will have a passion for learning and be adaptable, with a mind to innovate, automate and always be on the lookout for ways to improve.

Requirements

• Solid professional experience, fully proficient in at least one modern structured programming language
• Strong CompSci fundamentals, plus experience with data structures, algorithms, distributed systems
• Comfortable with a range of current development tools & practices (testing, source control, build systems, CI/CD, etc.)
• A basic working understanding of TCP/IP networking, LAN and WAN as well as Linux networking
• SQL and database experience a strong plus, as is web UI experience.
• Finance experience would be ideal.
