About this role

We are growing the Product Strategy Platform in Budapest for our Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions franchise that plays a central role in offering clients and prospects connectivity to and information on the investment process ensuring a best in class client experience. This team is responsible for a wide range of activities, including but not limited to maintaining fund data and analytics as well as production of marketing collateral and client reports. We seek an Associate to join the Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions team.

BlackRock's Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) group provides investment strategies and solutions that employ sophisticated asset allocation, rigorous risk management, and extensive research to deliver specific outcomes tailored to client needs. Through our comprehensive portfolio approach, diversified return drivers, end-to end partnership and technology, our multi-asset platform is crafted to deliver outcomes with more precision. MASS includes specialized capabilities in areas of Sustainable Investing, tactical asset allocation, income funds, target date and target risk strategies, as well as customized solutions through innovative portfolio construction and asset allocation methodologies. Our team of over 250 multi-asset investment professionals runs a range of pooled vehicles, model portfolios, and customized mandates for a diversified client base. Currently, MASS manages over $800 billion in assets and has a strong presence in San Francisco, New York, London and throughout EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare client reports related to performance, attribution and risk, using Aladdin tools in addition to conventional financial concepts to undertake detailed analysis.
  • Prepare internal communication on the book of business covering monthly/quarterly performance, fund flows, and portfolio events.
  • Communicate with team members, clients and consultants in a succinct and impactful way.
  • Closely follow global markets and be up to date on sustainable trends
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and databases relating to portfolio characteristics using systems such as Power BI, Tableau and python.
  • Maintain product pitchbooks and other standard client collateral such as factsheets, updating central content libraries where necessary
  • Help enhance existing processes with new ideas/automation and developing best practices across the global Product Strategy platform
  • Liaise with Portfolio Management and other Product Strategy teams
  • Assist with ad hoc requests (e.g., performance analytics / attribution, bespoke reporting)

You should have:
  • Desire to learn about the investment management industry and sustainable investing in particular
  • 2-5 years of professional experience with basic knowledge of equity markets and portfolio management
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to manipulate data and create appealing slides for clients/investors; experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus
  • Ability to understand and utilise Python, VBA or other code or a willingness to learn
  • Ability to effectively combine outputs from different sources of technology/systems
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; other major European languages are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency around deadlines and an ability to multitask
  • A desire to pursue professional learning such as MiFID II certification, CFA, FRM and/or CAIA is welcome

Our hybrid work model
