Director / Associate Director, Fintech and Innovation
Fintecubator is the Hang Seng's bank-wide Innovation programme. The role is responsible for leading innovation under Fintecubator, through managing the innovation framework and deliver new capabilities, including solutions and propositions that meet emerging banking customer needs. The role drives innovation strategy through changes to culture, technology and process, with a focus on creativity, people and network. The role also leads development of new skills and improved ways of working in the bank through internal community and external partnerships with the ecosystems.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Director or Associate Director in Fintecubator.
Principal responsibilities

• Implementing the innovation strategy bank-wide, garnering support from key stakeholders in the bank and promoting entrepreneur culture and growth mindset
• Project managing initiatives in the innovation portfolio, and drive growth through delivering new solutions and propositions
• Managing FinTech and ecosystem engagements, identifying commercial and customer opportunities and supporting agile implementation of innovation solutions
• Running our internal startup programme, sparking creativity in the staff community and cultivating intrapreneurial mindset via an experimenting project approach
• Building strong network with market participants like FinTech, mega tech, innovation ecosystems, regulators, academies etc. and developing collaboration and value creation with external partnerships
• Promoting our creativity and progressive technology brand values through internal and external communication of innovation events, activities and achievements
• Supporting innovation and FinTech education and training in the bank through partnering with Human Resources and running events, seminars and engagement activities for employees
• Managing the implementation programme for HKMA 2025 Fintech strategy in the bank
• Nurturing the innovator group in the bank with representatives and champions from various bank-wide departments so as to embed the innovation programme of work

Requirements

• University degree with over 8 years of financial services or technology experience including 3 years at a management level
• Strong change management and programme management experiences, with track record in delivering complex projects or financial products
• Solid working experience in the innovation and FinTech area, with direct involvement in technology companies or innovation ecosystem. Management experience in the development or sales of fintech solutions would be an advantage
• Project management experience in emerging technologies, e.g. cloud, AI/ML, blockchain etc, preferably in the financial services sector
• Strong leadership and people management experience and good stakeholder management skills
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to manage in a dynamic and matrix environment
• Experience in product sales and development in a financial services organisation is also an advantage
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
