This critical role provides support to the senior investment leadership in the Asia-Pacific Region in meeting regulatory, policy and other governance needs. The APAC Investments COO Analyst provides support to the senior investment leadership in the region responsible for oversight of outsourced investment activities, reporting to legal entity boards and committees, leadership and coordination for Investments on initiatives and issue management/resolution. In addition, the Investment COO Analyst will lead and/or participate, as relevant, in major projects in APAC. These projects will frequently require effective collaboration across global stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

What you will be responsible for
As Investments COO Analyst you will
  • Act as point of contact on behalf of the APAC Investment teams for transversal projects and initiatives. This may include acting as the investment subject matter expert or bridge for regulatory projects, collaborating with relevant legal and compliance groups.
  • Participate in major investment projects, representing the APAC regions. These projects will frequently require effective collaboration across global stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Interact with internal and external parties to ensure effective oversight for existing business and also to shape and implement solutions for new clients, products, strategies and system architecture.
  • Assisting with the oversight of all Portfolio Management and Trading outsourced processes, including support for other senior members in performing and evidencing of reviews.
  • Support senior investment leadership to comply with oversight responsibilities.
  • Prepare and refine Board, Committee and other relevant presentations materials.
  • Ensure actions assigned to the Investments team arising from senior management forums including Boards and Committees are monitored and dealt with.
  • Provide support to the team in delivering strategic initiatives.
  • Develop or enhance procedures and controls.
  • Provide support to the team in coordinating internal and external audits including control reviews.
  • Be able to work under pressure and collaborate with various levels of the organization.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent required
  • 8-10 years experience in COO, Investment Management, Compliance, or Risk experience
  • Detailed knowledge of investment management and operational process required
  • Experience with compliance and regulation preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
