Municipal Banking Analyst

As a Barclays Municipal Banking Analyst, you will gain a broad understanding of the Public Finance investment banking business by providing cross-functional assistance to senior bankers. This is an exciting opportunity for you to participate regularly in municipal transactions and help source new opportunities.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $110,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $125,000

What will you be doing?

• Partnering collaboratively with public finance bankers & other team members to analyze structure alternatives and provide tailored solutions that meet clients' financing needs
• Developing and evaluating debt profiles of various clients
• Performing financial modeling and cash flow analyses to evaluate debt financing alternatives for municipal entities
• Gathering, examining and presenting financial data (e.g., government budgets and financial reports, economic/market data, financial forecasts, pricing results, etc.)
• Drafting internal and external correspondence and client presentation materials, and discussing financing strategies, market trends, Barclays' qualifications, etc
• Researching legislative, market, or other developments relevant to our municipal clients
• Participating in transaction execution, managing deal logistics, running cash flows, preparing investor and rating agency presentations, and reviewing financing documents
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays' Operational Risk Framework, and internal Policies and Standards

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree, and two plus years of related experience
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills; detail-oriented person
• Demonstrated interest in public policy

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Understanding and knowledge of Series 7, 52, and 63
• Experience within a Banking or Municipals business
• Excellent written communication skills

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
