Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced individual to join the Data operations team to lead and provide oversight to the pricing data team and ensure accurate pricing data for all company held assets

Mandatory Skills:

• Degree in Business/ Finance or related disciplines.
• Work experience over 10 years in a valuation role, ideally for a bank or an asset manager.
• Experience in providing support to Pricing or Valuation committees.
• An excellent understanding of a wide range of tradable instruments.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and proactively with external and internal stakeholders.
• Good understanding with impacts of pricing data on data consumers.
• Working knowledge of Pricing data vendor systems such as Bloomberg, Markit, Refinitiv, S&P, ICE etc.
• Experience with automation of various pricing data.
• Experience with implementation Data Management platform for pricing checks.
• Familiar with internal models and knowledge to price illiquid and hard to price instruments.
• Data management experience in large financial institution especially Investment Services sector.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, performance driven individual with a strong relationship management skill.

Desired Skills:

• CFA qualifications.
• Prior experience using investment platforms, such as Blackrock, Aladdin.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible and Accountable for Pricing and Valuation data for the company.
• Provide support and be Secretarial for Global Valuation Committee.
• Capture the artefacts required for the Global Valuation Committee meetings and other related forums.
• Perform analysis and provide appropriate recommendations for pricing of illiquid and hard to price assets to the Global Valuation Committee.
• Performed analysis and recommendations for new markets and instruments.
• Ensure the delivery of timely and accurate pricing data for the company assets.
• Provide oversight and ensure Daily pricing checks and identify required actions to ensure pricing data quality in several platforms are completed.
• Work with the Alternative Operations team to support the pricing of private assets.
• Ensure all new procedures are documented and agreed.
• Provide oversight on the security prices used by our middle office outsourced partner and Fund Administrators.
• Update and maintain valuation policies and procedures as required.
• Provide SME knowledge on pricing and valuations.
• Provide requirements, design and Support implementation of new Data Management platform for Pricing data management.
• Support adhoc firm-wide projects from the pricing and valuation aspects
• Work with internal and external stakeholders on ad-hoc pricing queries
• Proactive management of risks and controls, working with Operation Risk to ensure an effective control environment
• Involve in Staff Management and Talent Development.
