Position Overview

Overview:
  • Opening within the European Structured Finance Credit Team that supports multiple business units across the Corporate & Investment Bank (for this role principally GCFS and additionally Global Transactional Banking, Illiquid Rates and Leveraged Debt Capital Markets)
  • This role is focused upon supporting the GCFS Direct Lending, Infrastructure & Energy, Credit Solutions and Distressed Product Group businesses / desks and primarily involves responsibility for managing structured corporate credit transactions including leveraged loans and project finance asset classes. Transaction approval and/or recommendation of credit & underwriting approvals including (but not limited to) credit and cash flow analysis, review of credit terms in loan and derivatives documentation and interfacing with senior management and business personnel on risk issues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analysing new structured finance transactions including Leveraged Buyouts, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) financing, Project Finance, Contract Monetisation / Quasi-government receivables, Back Leverage of loan / private equity portfolios and as well as supporting ancillary business such as Foreign Exchange (FX) / Interest Rates / commodity derivatives, transaction banking, etc
  • Providing credit recommendations and presenting to the Underwriting Committee for larger transactions when required across a wide range of industry sectors and financing situations and including adherence to and reference to minimum regulatory requirements
  • Determining required credit terms and assisting in the structuring of new and amended derivatives legal documentation to achieve optimal risk / return outcomes
  • Participating in interactions with internal & external auditors and regulatory authorities
  • Working closely with Global Credit Analytics Function ("GCAF") in support of the monitoring of the existing portfolio of approved deals including (but not limited to) waiver & amendment requests; impairment testing; watch list; and interaction with Enterprise Risk Management / Portfolio Management functions
  • Participating in diverse internal projects that improve efficiency and helping Deutsche Bank to achieve key strategic objectives
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of credit analysis experience, with experience in non-investment grade lending
  • Analytical skills, including cash flow modelling / forecasting and understanding of derivative structures
  • Ability to work independently under time pressure and focus on multiple transactions at once
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
