Why this role is important to us
Global Treasury's mission is to manage the balance sheet of State Street while seeking to optimize net interest income (NII) within our risk appetite. The Capital Management group within Global Treasury is responsible for Global Capital Policy, Capital Planning & Strategy, and the annual CCAR Stress Testing program. The group supports key risk management and regulatory initiatives including CCAR/DFAST, Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) and balance sheet strategy.

What you will be responsible for
As Capital Management Analyst you will
  • Maintain and develop capital-related models and forecasting tools (including pre-provision net revenue (PPNR) models) for managing capital position and for State Street's CCAR executions
  • Coordinate and support production process including collection of data inputs across work streams and staging for inclusion in business-as-usual and CCAR models
  • Develop coherent presentations and other communications to facilitate management decision making, and clearly document key decisions & feedback from committee review and challenge
  • Coordinate with peers, business unit representatives and corporate functions within and outside of Treasury, to ensure timely execution of departmental deliverables
  • Manage timelines and progress longer term departmental projects against established work plans
  • Understand key regulatory and business drivers of capital management and decision making and their impact on overall Treasury and corporate wide risk metrics and performance
  • Recommend and initiate continuous improvements across existing processes and tools, and respond to and coordinate with oversight partners to enhance governance and oversight
  • Work with IT and other support functions to document business requirements and ensure capital planning and forecasting methodologies are appropriately implemented in production systems
  • Complete ad-hoc assignments as needed, and demonstrate willingness to work collaboratively with other team members to meet departmental objectives on or ahead of schedule

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, finance, economics, accounting or related fields
  • 2+ years of financial services experience or other relevant experience in financial institutions, with knowledge of treasury risk-based banking regulations considered a plus

Additional requirements
Basic skills in statistical or analytical modeling languages such as R, Python, SAS, SQL will be considered a plus

Salary Range:
$60,000 - $90,000 Annual
