We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Strategic Planning and Stress Testing Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
Controls
- Support maintenance of SP&ST control framework, control inventory, perform Regional Risk Controls Assessment (RCA)
- Support in the identification, monitoring and reporting of Management of Self-Identified Issues (MSII) and seeking closure in a timely manner
- Support in the closure of feedback from Treasury Risk, Audit, Assurance reviews
- Maintain model inventory for SP&ST, engaging with country stress testing leads for completion
- Review, understand and document changes in regulatory policies & requirements for key regulators in the region relating to solvency and climate stress testing (e.g. HKMA, CBIRC, APRA, MAS, BNM, RBI, etc.)
- Perform stress testing Independent Reviews, engage with the country stress testing lead, Country CRO, CFO, and work closely with Treasury Risk and Internal Audit function
- Perform internal stress testing process audits and make recommendations for process improvement
- Write independent review, process audit papers and reports
- Support the maintenance of the Regional and country end-end Stress Testing process maps, SP&ST framework, operating model for solvency, climate and internal stress tests
- Support the Delivery team on the application and embedding best practices to streamline and improve efficiency for stress testing activities
- Support the production of training / education materials around Assurance, Controls, Governance
- Work closely with Group SP&ST to ensure Global requirements, standards and best practices are covered and communicated effectively to Asia
- Provide guidance to countries to adopt and implement SP&ST framework
- Establish strong, effective and collaborative working relationships within the team and with other stakeholders across Finance, Risk and Business
- Collaborate with functions and businesses on regulatory and internal reviews e.g. Treasury Risk, Model Risk Management, Audit, ALCM
- Support the wider delivery team on strategic initiatives, priority deliverables
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in Audit, Assurance, corporate governance, compliance is preferred
- Good command of written and verbal English; experience in writing papers to senior management is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrates ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
- Articulate and attention to details
- Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and work within strict timelines
- Strong decision making, problem solving and influencing skills
- Capacity to process high volumes of complex information and synthesise key themes and issues
- Professional qualifications in finance, audit and project management would be advantageous
- Good understanding of regulatory policies & requirements (e.g. BCBS, HKMA, Bank of England Stress Testing) would be preferred
- Able to think strategically, and make connection of governance activities with other processes
- Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint is mandatory. Visualization tools knowledge (Visio, Qlik, Appian, power BI) would be advantageous
