What is the role about?

As a Technical Product Manager at Bitvavo, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape and make a real impact on the future of a leading European retail investment platform. You will be responsible for leading the product work for the Platform domain, while in close contact with product teams and other parts of the business to understand their needs and map them against your internal backlog. You will be responsible for drafting a long-term roadmap for the team as well as preparing the strategy on how to adjust Bitvavo's technical platform setup to stay compliant with existing rules, and prepare for new implementations and business growth. Your experience in the SRE/DevOps/Cloud/Infrastructure environment is absolutely vital, as this will be your domain once you join Bitvavo.

How will you make an impact?

The Platforms domain at Bitvavo is responsible for providing a growing set of internal solutions and capabilities to the backend infrastructure engineering team, as well as to the entire business. We constantly look for a balance between enabling Engineering to go faster, whilst keeping services and applications reliable and carrying out beyond-current-industry security standards.

You will also make an impact, by being responsible for the following:
  • Setting-up the strategy for the Platform domain, while ensuring the most impactful prioritisation
  • Lead iterative planning meetings, writing stories, and interacting with engineers on the team and business stakeholders
  • Analyse data and feedback from engineers to understand their needs from platform team (through research and interviews)
  • Work closely with engineering team and business stakeholders to drive adoption of technologies and tools build in the platform team
  • Be embedded within Engineering teams to make trade-offs, steward the delivery process, and close gaps in requirements and understanding of the business context
  • Drive initiatives to validate the demand by setting up and running lean experiments, managing feedback loops, and affecting change using hypothesis-driven & evidence-based techniques
  • Cultivate a deep knowledge of customer problems through research, engagement with the developer community, and customer interviews

What do you need to be successful?
  • Proven track record of driving results-driven product teams that deliver on company OKRs and KPIs
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management
  • Demonstrated experience working on Platforms, SRE, or DevOps domains is a must
  • Technical background - you have strong technical acumen, and the ability to translate this into business requirements
  • Great communication skills and the ability to engage and manage stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset, who makes data-based decisions
  • Keen learner and the willingness to investigate and understand new trends and technologies
