BBVA has been present in France for more than 100 years. Its activity is mainly directed at French large Corporate and Institutional clients. Within BBVA France, GTB Department mainly deals with Trade Finance activities, addressing the needs of our clients in connection with their international activity import and export (guarantees, letters of credit, forfaiting...) but also accompanying their working capital requirements through a wide range of working capital solutions (factoring, supply chain finance...). GTB France has built a strong position with the main French clients thanks to a highly professional team able to address the specific needs of its clients and offer them a best in class quality of service. The new position is aimed at strengthening and structuring its strong development.

Academic background and Knowledges:
  • Master degree (preferably in Economics and Business Administration) CFA, MBA, MS or other specific Trade Finance training will be valued
  • 7-10 years of successful commercial experience in Trade Finance and / or Working Capital Solutions preferably with large French corporates
  • Knowledge of the Trade Finance and WC products (guarantees, SBLCs, documentary credits, factoring, SCF...)
  • Knowledge of the French market and good understanding of the economy and of the needs of the clients
  • Computer (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

Languages:

Fluent in English. French and having good notions in Spanish

Within the Corporate & Investment Banking division, the Global Transaction Banking Department focuses on transactional banking and Trade Finance activities for our large corporate and institutional clients. About the job
  • Originate, structure and execute trade finance transactions, offering to BBVA clients a wide range of standard trade finance instruments and customized solutions to cover clients' import/ export financing needs
  • Collaborate with the GTB Branch Manager in defining the business strategy, business plan and budget.
  • Identify and generate new trade finance business opportunities with current and prospect clients.
  • Visit and call on clients proactively, occasionally accompanied by the Banker, offering funding and guarantees to the clients' trade activity.
  • Offer a comprehensive financial and technical advisory service adapted to the client's financial profile and trade finance needs.
  • Conduct the analysis of the operation, defining the funding structure proposal.
  • Negotiate credit agreements with clients, multilaterals, export credit agencies, other financial institutions and legal advisors. Define and negotiate the contract's terms and conditions in collaboration with Legal.
  • Obtain the Risk approval. Register the proposal in the risk management tool and participate in different committees in order to defend the credit proposals.
  • Preparation and supervision of all documentation required for the deals closing and administration. Close collaboration with the middle and back office units, especially with the local middle office teams for the guarantees administration and incidences management.
  • Generate recurrent income in order to meet the revenue targets that are set each year
  • Liaise alongside with CIB product units for fostering products' cross-selling and with CIB support units for the deal execution
  • Register, modify and update customers' business opportunities in the in-house client management tools and data sources
  • Stay abreast of the specific regulatory and compliance framework that may affect the trade finance products
  • Report to the GTB Branch Manager on a periodic and ad-hoc basis. Evaluate main performance indicators
