As part of their sustained growth plan, they are now seeking to hire a local Chief Risk Officer to join the team.

Reporting to the Head of Risk Asia Pacific, your key responsibilities will include:
- Be the key representative for the bank with local regulators, internal and external auditors as well as internal risk committees
- Oversee and coordinate all local Risk functions - credit risk & decisioning, monitoring & reporting, operational risk, as well as liquidity & market risk
- Act as the corporate counterparty risk representative in Australia with credit risk signatory and delegation
- Assist in disseminating the risk culture to the various corporate banking, structured finance and global markets teams
- Maintain the high quality of the portfolio through managing the risk strategy, risk portfolio reviews, and maintaining integrity of risk data and parameters
Key criteria to be considered for this role will be:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- 10+ years' credit risk experience gained from a corporate/investment bank, investment fund, other financial institution or advisory firm
- Well-developed technical skills in credit analysis, risk assessment, portfolio management, and legal structures
- Experience across structured finance, corporate finance, capital & financial markets
- Strong problem-solving skills and confidence in working with complex structures and solutions leading to positive financing outcomes
- An accomplished communicator, who can explain complex concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and effective with tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
