Investment Services Private Markets

The Investment Services Private Markets Department (ISPVM) is responsible for investment services for the private market across the GIC group. It is responsible for providing deal structuring and closing, portfolio monitoring, valuation, finance, operations, tax, data management and analytics services, in the execution of private market investments in Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Credits and Infrastructure. It is involved in financial reporting and accounting of investment holding companies, as well as operations and financial due diligence for asset operations.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the Finance & Accounting team, which provides finance partnership to the Private Markets (i.e. Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Private Debts) and related businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze property appraisals, market research and other data to ensure the accuracy of valuations
• Identify and report any discrepancies or errors in valuations
• Work with the investment team to ensure that all valuations are in line with industry standards and best practices
• Ensure that all valuations are properly documented and maintained for financial reporting
• Provide guidance and training to other team members on valuation techniques and best practices
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics or related field
• At least 6 years of experience in real estate valuation or related field
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify errors and discrepancies
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical and technology skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with Argus is a plus
• Real Estate Appraisal certification is a plus
