Investment Services Private Markets

The Investment Services Private Markets Department (ISPVM) is responsible for investment services for the private market across the GIC group. It is responsible for providing deal structuring and closing, portfolio monitoring, valuation, finance, operations, tax, data management and analytics services, in the execution of private market investments in Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Credits and Infrastructure. It is involved in financial reporting and accounting of investment holding companies, as well as operations and financial due diligence for asset operations.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Finance & Accounting team, which provides finance partnership to the Private Markets (i.e. Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Private Debts) and related businesses.


  • Primary focus on the oversight of valuations of private credit investments
  • Identify key valuation drivers and assist in establishing valuation risk monitoring frameworks
  • Handle analysis of valuation-related information including reviewing financial statements, credit reports and cash flow models
  • Assist with the review and improvement of valuation procedures for Private Market assets in accordance of the firm-wide valuation policy
  • Ensure there are consistent methodologies and efficient processes in place for valuations of Private Market assets with proper documentation
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders on all valuation related matters within the Private credit investments including financial control, risk and external auditors
  • Manage and handle valuations control and the monthly/ quarterly/ annual valuation process review for the Private Market assets portfolio for private credit
  • Assist external valuation advisers with the performance of the external valuation process including collation of underlying financial data from investment managers
  • Assist with the review and challenge of externally performed valuations
  • Management and delivery of various items of project work


  • Strong academic background in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Financial Engineering, Statistics or a related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in credit valuations, preferably in private credit valuation/risk
  • Experience with credit valuation / credit rating models
  • Strong analytical skills in understanding the driving factors for credit valuation modeling
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical and technology skills
  • Keen to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced work environment
  • Being an independent and self-directed person, able to manage tasks effectively and complete tasks within agreed timelines
  • CFA, FRM or other relevant professional certification is a plus
