As the premier supplier to our client, one of the most established company specializing in the biotech manufacture and pharmaceutical industries, Swisslinx is looking for highly professional leader - Director Global IT Applications.

Our client is looking for a motivated, strategical personality able to push the vision into the process, push the vision and be responsible for the provisioning, integration and operations of IT applications.

This includes the full responsibility for enterprise applications as well as the shared responsibility for departmental business applications.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Organize work the global, geographically distributed IT Applications department
Development and integration of IT applications organization and employees to meet the current and future needs of company, providing adequate organizational, analytics skills and resources for implementation.
Perform vendor management for IT applications, including supplier qualification and contract negotiations and contract management
Maintain and adhere to IT directives, policies, SOPs and working instructions within the responsibility area of IT Applications
Ensure adherence to GMP compliance requirements and companies' CSV regulations for selected applications
Participate in governance bodies such IT Leadership team and selected change advisory boards
Provide target group specific information to users and stakeholder community
Act as IT business partner for selected departments
Contribute to IT Roadmap by proposing and justifying IT application projects
Responsible for reliable operating of IT applications including incident and problem management
Responsible for change and release management of services within responsibility of IT Applications
Responsible for security patching of all applications within the area of responsibility of IT Applications
Manage and monitor portfolio of IT Applications projects
Ensure setup, planning and execution of IT Applications projects according to ITPM methodology
Manage IT demand within IT Applications department
Support make-or-buy strategy and decisions
Evaluation, Proposal, Selection and operations of adequate IT application and integration technologies
Responsible for Enterprise Architecture Management principles, methodology and tooling
Maintain toolset to monitor application health and performance
Responsible for methodology and tooling to support application lifecycle for GMP and non-GMP scenarios
Responsible for best practice IT application management according to relevant companies SOPs and ITIL frameworks
Propose and report relevant performance KPIs for IT applications
Ensure data quality of Configuration Management Database for all objects managed by IT Applications
Alignment with business departments to ensure adequate and agreed shared application management responsibility for line-of-business applications
Your background:
Master's Degree in Business Information Technology or equivalent education
Advanced Training in Project Management (PMI, Prince 2, etc) - Agile / Scrum Methodologies
Digital Business / Digital Transformation
ITIL Framework (foundation or advanced)
Devops, SAP, Computer Systems Validation
Enterprise Architecture Management (e.g. TOGAF)
Basic Leadership Training
Basic Business Management/Financial Training

You will possess the following skills and experience:
Minimum 5 years in an IT Applications leadership role in a comparable, international life sciences or industrial company
Minimum 3 years of SAP experience
Project Management experience
Experience in GMP regulated industry
Native German is must or skills close to native (English profiles are not accepted)

Please note role would be 60% minimum onsite, 40% maximum remote in canton Basel land
