Director, Debt Advisory

JLL is looking to hire an experienced professional in the debt capital markets space to support our Debt Advisory capability in Hong Kong & Greater China. The successful candidate will be part of the core team covering any clients seeking to invest by providing optimal transaction structuring solutions for clients including but not limited to Listed Property entities, High Net Worth individuals, Family Offices and developers.

The successful candidate will need to focus on the origination and execution of real estate financing transactions and work closely with the Capital Markets team to develop a database of both onshore and offshore capital and managers interested in the Chinese real estate and stay continually connected to this group to educate them on the suite of debt solutions in the market. The candidate should already possess excellent knowledge of real estate financing and be well connected with both local and international real estate investors looking for opportunities in Hong Kong & Greater China. He or she must also have an established track record of working on real estate deals in APAC.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead origination activities and on-boarding of new clients based in Hong Kong & Greater China
• Leading the production of capital raising marketing materials for property transactions
• Become the recognised Debt Advisory specialist for JLL
• Understanding of legal documentation for property transactions
• Deep understanding of the property financing landscape
• Creating optimal transaction structuring solutions for clients
• Assisting with sourcing of domestic and international funding for Japan based property investments and developments
• Maintaining a strong client focus and with Client Relationship Management (CRM)
• Developing new ideas to enhance and add value to current services
• Maintaining a strong client focus in all work and communication
• Leading the preparation of cash flow modelling from ground up and analysis for property transactions to a high standard
• Developing personal skills in a way that benefits your career progression and the services offered by the firm.

Key Requirements:

• Strong communication skills, Resilient, energetic and growth oriented with the ability to credibly interact with potential clients including Listed Property entities, High Net Worth individuals, Family Offices and developers
• Well networked in Hong Kong & Greater China and be highly regarded by your existing clients
• Continuous learning and improvement regarding both industry knowledge and taught skills
• Ability to handle more complex and independent deals and responsibilities.
• 6-8 years' experience in property or infrastructure capital advisory / transactions and/or property or infrastructure /investment lending with exposure to the above accountabilities.
• Tertiary degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Studies, Business and/or Property related discipline.
