Hybrid (2 days in the office a week)

Are you excited to join one of our prestigious clients within the financial Services Industry? We are looking for a Content Designer to ensure our client is designing products and services that meet the needs of both the
organization and the end user.

What are the key responsibilities?

As a content Designer, you will work within a multi-disciplinary digital product team (squad) to design new products and services that help our users achieve their goals.
  • Using evidence, data and research to make content decisions
  • Contributing to and using style guides and content patterns
  • Interpreting user research and reflecting nuanced user needs into clear, accurate, succinct, and unambiguous content that ensures that users fully understand how to interact with a digital product.
  • Advocating for effective content design, negotiating with other stakeholders seeking legal or commercial precision at the expense of intelligibility or accessibility of content.
  • Improving engagement and value from digital products through greater user uptake, reduced user drop-out and improved data quality, through users fully understanding the questions being asked of them
  • Advocating for effective content design, negotiating with other stakeholders seeking legal or commercial precision at the expense of intelligibility or accessibility of content
  • Supporting improved accessibility of products and services for neurodiverse audiences

  • Substantial experience in working in project/programme environments involving business & IT change.
  • Content Design experience within any of the following types of organizations/sectors: financial services, government/regulatory body, technology, consultancy (ideally IT consultancy)
  • Experience of delivering government digital services in line with GDS standards.
  • Experience of designing for accessibility
  • A sophisticated command of language and psychology, including the ability to write complex content for lower reading ages to improve intelligibility and accessibility.
  • Robust experience in writing, editing, and publishing digital content, and experience in using content management systems and content production processes to publish content.
  • An understanding of different prototyping techniques, from paper sketches to coded prototypes, and ability to use them to visualize content in context.
  • Ability to identify key stakeholders, tailoring communication to their needs, and working with teams to build relationships whilst also meeting user needs.
  • Able to define strategies and policies, providing guidance to others on working in the strategic context. Ability to evaluate current strategies to ensure business requirements are being met and exceeded where possible.
  • Able to use quantitative and qualitative data about users to turn user research into outcomes.
