Job Summary:

Job Duties:
Job Responsibilities
- Work as a checker role to cover day-to-day settlement related operations in cash markets (Hong Kong market and Stock Connect markets) in accordance with established rules and procedures (e.g. settlement fails operations);
- Supervise junior teammates to complete day-to-day operations;
- Prepare regular and ad hoc statistical and analysis reports to management and regulators;
- Handle exceptions and contingency situations with proper escalation to team head;
- Collaborate with internal departments and liaise with external business counterparts such as regulators, clearing participants and system vendors in operation issues;
- Review and streamline workflows, identify and implement potential opportunities of efficiency and accuracy gains;
- Key responsibilities include (i) ensuring smooth and timely operations; (ii) being a key person to escalate and mitigate operational exceptions and (iii) Be a subject matter expert in settlement operation functions for project implementation including enhancing internal operational procedures and workflows for implementation of new initiatives (including conducting user acceptance test as appropriate).
- University Degree, preferably in Finance / Business Administration / Economics or related disciplines;
- At least 8 years' relevant working experience (preferably in Cash and Derivatives operations), of which at least 2 years at managerial level with people management experience, in well-established financial organization;
- Knowledge of China Connect, CCASS and DCASS operations, securities and money settlement cycle in Cash and Derivatives markets;
- Knowledge of HKSCC/HKCC/SEOCH Rules and Procedures and local regulatory framework is preferred;
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communications, analytical, problem solving, writing and presentation skills;
- Good PowerPoint/Excel/Access skills; visual basic programming an advantage;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua an advantage.
